Nier Automata - 2B
I couldn't sleep before my flight, so did a quick portrait of 2B from Nier Automata, she has one of my favorite character designs ever. Sorry if it's not too good, I haven't drawn a character illustration in a year.

Broken Monday - The Dust of Osaka

Another Concept for Broken Monday a what if open world mp game inspired by the worlds of Shin Megami Tensei, the gameplay of Division, and map layouts of the souls series. I have never done a concept using a real place in personal work just because of it not being that challenging and just becoming a long study and color grade, but in this IP the world is shaken, and with structures falling into eachother and humans/demons building new structures out of and ontop of the old world, it becomes something in that the real current world becomes just as important as to what it has become.

Instead of thinking of pure chaos you can think of it as I am playing with the idea of Wabi-Sabi, an idea in Japanese culture that celebrates imperfection and transience, It fits a post apocalyptic world well, one that knows that things will end but it might as well be somewhat beautiful while it lasts. I was inspired by 2 parts of Osaka for this one, first where it takes place, a V intersection outside Osaka Station that is highly futuristic looking, and second the mall by the Aquarium, where they have this one section in an otherwise modern mall with a cozy maze of down to earth shops with traditional Japanese aesthetic with lights all abound.
Broken Monday - Underground Walkway
Some fun quick concept art for yet another personal what if IP(I have a lot, most invented as a kid haha)

This is basically an open world rpg shooter in a post apocalyptic occult world overrun by demons, a world setting inspired by Megami Tensei/SMT from the mid 80s and Genma Wars from the 60s with combat similar to The Division, and map layouts similar to the souls series. I have a feeling most people here would compare the setting/mood to Shadowrun from the late 80s that I don't have much experience with haha but check out the 2 series I mention above for the real inspirations :)

The world didn't completely end, it was ravaged by Demons, and in response nuclear weapons, and as a result messed up weather and earthquakes; so while there is plenty still functioning, with 3/4 of the human population gone and a complicated relationship with Demons, the world is a hostile chaotic place.

Idea would be that you can play as either a human or a civilized Demon, find out the truth of what happened, hunt feral demons, take down bandits, join factions, loot, ect. For the first game it would take place in Japan, probably starting in Osaka, and later Kyoto, and Tokyo. Osaka makes a wonderful area for an Apocalypse, it is filled with bizarre buildings, and a convoluted assortment of passageways and overpasses.

How long have you been doing art for? Do you think going to college was worth it. I also really love the creativity you put in these.

All my life, but got serious 4 years ago. You don't need to go to college only go if you can afford, I did go to art college but they didn't actually teach you to draw there so it was a waste of money other than if I need to get a work visa down the line(degrees and awards help). If you want actual training I recommend going to a school that has instructors that are working professionally in same field you want to be in. I learned more in one class at than 5 years of art school, if you can afford it tho go to Art Center, they have an extremely high hiring rate.

Self training takes a bit more time but it has worked personally for me, just be disciplined and have a schedule.

Thanks so much for responding! I have so many questions on where to start, I'll probably figure that out down the line. I love your drawings to by the way. especially the "cyberpunk" ones. It just worries me because I started drawing high school year: so like 3 years ago for the first time, I got decent at anatomy, but then college made me stop. now It's really hard for me to get back into drawing. But I have a lot of amazing ideas now.
